Dear Parents, We had a great day for our field day on Wednesday. The students and staff had a wonderful time- and just seeing the various "rock" attire was fun. This day would not have been possible without all the volunteers who spent the day helping us. Thank you to everyone for another great school year. Enjoy your summer and see you in August!
HAPPENINGS THIS WEEK AT BES Monday morning our 6th graders began their week with the traditional 6th grade breakfast, and then visited the golf course for the remainder of the morning as a part of their phys ed class. Tuesday was the 6th grade South American fest- and lunch that day kept with the South American theme. Walking Wednesday was the perfect day to walk to school- a great way to end the year. Wednesday was our Annual Field Day- a fun filled day complete with a picnic! The 3rd grade held their film festival Wednesday evening- thank you to all who attended. At the end of the week we had the 6th grade egg drop, auction and Assembly. The 1st graders held their arts celebration on Friday.
REPORT CARDS The last day of school, students come home with back packs filled with things left in cubbies or from their desks. Among all their treasures will be their final report card which will include assignments for next year's teacher. We do have changes in staff for next year. Lauren Meldonian will be working with Rowe Williams in 5th grade. Erica Sleeper-Thompson will be working with Kate Grant in the Kindergarten classes. Assignments for classes may change slightly over the summer as some kids move out of town and others move in. If we anticipate any change to your child's placement, we will contact you.
