This month we continued with our science unit on earth materials. First, we sorted river rocks by size, color, weight, texture, etc. Then because people often need to use different sizes of earth materials when building roads and homes, we used 3 sizes of screens to separate our river rocks. We discovered that we had rocks, pebbles and sand in our samples.
One day, one of our students wanted to know how old Mrs. Karr was. She used her great math strategies to find the answer. We were amazed!
