 Last Thursday afternoon, Principal Charles Barrett and three staff members traveled to the statehouse to share the successes of the BES Farm to School Grant with the governor,
legislators including our own Sarah Copeland Hanzas and other schools throughout the state. The event held in the Statehouse cafeteria featured local foods and displays from the many of the award winners from last year and those who have been awarded grants for this year including Thetford Academy. In order to continue bringing in local foods into the cafeteria at an affordable price, BES is looking for a community volunteer to assist with organizing PYO family events throughout the growing season. If you are interested, please contact Darlene Sanborn at 222-4077.  |
