Reporting Hazing, Harassment, and Bullying

Bradford Elementary School wants all students to feel safe and happy at school. Everyone in our school should treat each other with respect. The school does not allow anyone to bother, pick on, or be mean to others because of their race, color, religion, where they come from, if they are married, if they are a boy or girl, who they like, how they identify, or if they have a disability. The school also does not allow bullying or hazing (when someone is forced to do something to fit in or join a group).

If someone breaks these rules, the school will look into what happened and may give consequences if needed. This is true even if the bad behavior is not exactly bullying or harassment but still breaks school rules.

If there is a report about bullying, harassment, or hazing, the school will talk to everyone involved and take action to make sure it stops. Parents or guardians will get a phone call and a letter from the school explaining what is being done. If the school finds out that bullying, harassment, or hazing happened, they will work to stop it, try to keep it from happening again, and help those who were hurt. The school uses Restorative Practices, which means they try to make things right and help people learn from their mistakes.

If you or your child believe that hazing, harassment, or bullying has happened, please contact Ms. Novak or Mrs. Fogarty at the school:
